A Home away from home at Cypress Pointe Grand Villas
Orlando, Florida has become one of the top vacation destinations in the whole country, if not the world. Not only does it boast a plethora of attractions and amusements for the whole family, it’s also only a stone’s throw away from Daytona and Tampa Bay.
Recently one of our customers sent us this glowing testimonial of their stay at Cypress Pointe Grand Villas in Orlando, Florida.
My first experience of Orlando was when I was about eight years old. I remember my family all piling into the car and making the journey all the way from Virginia. I have such fond memories of the week we spent at Disney World, Gatorland, and all the other attractions in the area. Recently I vacationed to Orlando for the first time since then and it was just as wonderful.
After the half-day’s drive we pulled up to the welcoming facade of Cypress Pointe Grand Villas. Upon entering the lobby I was intrigued by the wonderful marble floors and large open lobby. Although it was nearly midnight, I checked in with the friendly staff and was given a map and area guide to help me plan my vacation. Now that was out of the way, I hopped back in my car and anxiously drove to find our accommodations.
It was a second floor two-bedroom unit that was much larger and luxurious than I had expected. The unit itself was comfortably decorated with familiar tones which welcomed us through the front door. The kitchen was fully stocked with necessary utensils and cookware, while the dining area was prepared for mealtime. The living room presented a large wide-screen television, a comfortable couch and chairs, and access to the screened-in patio. Off of the living room was the spacious master bedroom. The master bedroom boasted a king-size bed, television, walk-in closet, patio access, and a large bathroom. Immediately I was excited to see the large jetted tub in the corner of the bathroom! After the day’s long drive, I was more than ready to relax and work the knots out of my weary body. In addition to the wonderful tub there was a large shower and two sinks with a vanity. The second bedroom was larger than expected with two twin beds, a closet, dresser, and adjacent bathroom. I was more than satisfied with the accommodations at Cypress Pointe Grand Villas, helping to start this vacation out on the right foot.
The next morning we were informed that the front desk had a welcome kit waiting for us, so I went to receive it. The concierge was waiting for me and provided the kit and offered services to help us make the most out of our adventure. They were able to provide dining information, attraction tickets for purchase, and even shopping and recreation guides. It was a great way to get us on our way with everything we needed to have fun.
The first couple of days were dedicated solely to shopping at the many outlets and shopping malls. Next we spent two days at Universal Studios and Islands of Adventure parks, which was extremely affordable and well worth the money. Next, a half-day trip to Gatorland was more than exciting as we watched gators feed and walked amongst all manner of wildlife! Our evenings were spent all over Orlando at familiar and not-so-familiar restaurants, putt-putt golf courses, Ripley’s Believe it or Not! and even a hilarious 1920’s Chicago-gangster themed dinner theater show called “Capone’s“.
Even though we were away from home, Cypress Pointe Grand Villas became our home-away-from-home. After our busy days enjoying the attractions it was comforting to know I could return to the resort and have a hot bath, relax in a spacious bed, and awake rejuvenated to do it all over again.
The resort itself offers so many great amenities, it was almost as much fun just lounging around the resort as it was doing everything else. They have three large swimming pools, a spa, kiddie pool, putt-putt golf, snack bar, mini-mart, ATM, gift shop, fitness center, and then some! The location is just as wonderful with it being just a mile from Walt Disney World and about twenty minutes from Universal Studios and Sea World! There are many restaurants within walking distance and a large pharmacy-mart just across the street. The resort is near golf courses, shopping malls, local nightlife, and tons of activities that kept us amused and entertained!
The best part is that a week at Cypress Pointe Grand Villas costs hundreds less than a week at any area hotel with the same quality and features! I was not only able to save on the wonderful accommodations, we saved money on food as the well stocked kitchen was home to many of our meals! I even returned home with money left in my vacation fund! Do yourself a favor the next time you vacation in Orlando….stay at Cypress Pointe Grand Villas.
Thanks again for another great adventure!

Excellent review! But I can’t help notice that this happened “…was when I was about eight years old.”
Friend, shill, or genuine review?
