Bluffton, South CarolinaSaxophones are being fine-tuned, storytellers are reciting folklore and painters are brushing up on their craft in Hilton Head Island which means it’s spring and time for the Bravo Arts & Cultural Festival. Now in its seventh year, this month-long celebration of the arts begins in late April and extends through the end of May. Hilton Head visitors and residents alike have more than 100 different cultural events to choose with enough variety to satisfy everyone from the tree hugger to the hoity-toity.

Created by the Arts and Cultural Committee at the Hilton Head Island-Bluffton Chamber of Commerce the Bravo Arts & Cultural Festival is a celebration of arts and culture. This year more than two dozen groups will produce events ranging from performing and visual arts to history and nature activities. Sure-bets during this year’s festival include: Discoveries: 7 Points of View, which is a collection of three-dimensional works capturing the spirit of the Lowcountry; Bluffton International Chalk Festival for an outdoor festival with a uniquely dusty battle for cash prizes; and  Gullah History and Storytelling with Louise Miller Cohen.

Without a doubt, there’s something for everyone at the Bravo Arts & Cultural Festival. Check out festival’s website for the complete list of events. Importantly, don’t delay in booking your Hilton Head vacation now.
