Stimulate the Economy, Book a Vacation
Across the country this week, communities will be recognizing a $1.6 trillion industry that directly employs 7.5 million people and without it, U.S. households would pay $995 more in taxes annually. That amount is equal to a groovy little vacation somewhere. And, 1 out of every 8 U.S. non-farm jobs is created directly, indirectly or is induced by this industry.
We’re talking about the travel and tourism industry which is celebrating the 26th Annual National Travel and Tourism Week, May 9 – 17. During this economic climate, travel matters more than ever and this message will be delivered. Traveling just isn’t about frivolously spending money it’s about reconnecting with family, rejuvenating the soul and stimulating the economy.
When people travel, either for business or pleasure, they’re spending money on items such as taxi fare, hotel rooms, meals and attraction admission. The money travelers spend is keeping others employed who will continue the cycle in keeping the economy flowing which is what we need to help pull us out of the recession.
Do your part to recognize National Travel and Tourism Week and book your vacation now. Whether it’s a weekend golf trip to Myrtle Beach, family getaway to Daytona Beach or romantic jaunt to the Dominican Republic, Resort Rentals International can help you stimulate the economy with fabulous vacation deals. Go ahead and do it, it’s your patriotic duty to vacation.
