Bloodless Bullfighting to Barrel into Las Vegas, September 14 – 15, 2009
Ole! In celebration of Mexican Independence Day at the South Point Casino Sept. 14 and 15 and then again with four more action packed torero (bullfighter) days, Sept. 27 – 30, Don Bull Productions is bringing bloodless bullfighting to Las Vegas.
The non-blood shedding begins during the inaugural Fiestas Patrias at the South Point Arena when the world’s best toreros show off their bullfighting skills. Rather than using traditional banderillas (a small dart thrust into the bull’s neck or shoulder) and steel harpoons, the toreros will use specially designed adhesive Velcro pads to show off traditional bullfighting skills in an exciting and entertaining show.
Tickets to Fiesta Patrias start at just $60 and can be purchased by calling 702/797.8055 or by visiting www.TorosLasVegas.com VIP tables and seating are also available with pricing ranging from $375 to $550.
Here’s a rundown of the schedule including those bullfighters who should be making an appearance:
September 14: Fiestas Patrias will feature some of the most famous bullfighters in the world including Eulalio Lopez “El Zotoluco”, Alejandro Amaya and Julio Benitez “El Cordobes.”
