Thousands of professional and amateur photographers will participate in photo walks across the globe on Saturday, July 18, 2009, for Scott Kelby’s 2nd Annual Worldwide Photo Walk. It’s basically a social gathering of photographers who meet up and photograph a designated area, whether it be a  park, attraction or just everyday life.

Scott Kelby is Editor and Publisher Photoshop User Magazine, Editor-in-Chief of Layers Magazine; training director and instructor for the Adobe Photoshop Seminar Tour, President National Association of Photoshop Professionals (NAPP), CEO of Kelby Media Group, and author of several bestselling technology books. He enjoys tunes from the disco era, Seinfeld reruns and his wife’s salad. And, Kelby adores his family.

Afterward, participating photographers get together at a bar or restaurant to compare photos. The photo walk leader then chooses the winning photograph and the photographer will win Scott Kelby’s “The Digital Photography Book, Volume 3.” Scott Kelby will then choose a grand prize winner who will win a whole mess of stuff including Kelby’s book, two tickets to Photoshop World Conference & Expo, camera equipment and 1x Adobe Creative Suite 4 Premium and 1x Adobe Photoshop Lightroom 2.

In 2008, more than 8,000 people participated in the inaugural Worldwide Photo Walk and to date, more than 915 photo walks are registered for 2009 across the globe. Each walk can accommodate up to 50 people and best of all, participation is FREE and open to any skill level.
